As part of the Telecare family, Sausal Creek Outpatient Stabilization Clinic in Oakland provides treatment and support to adults living in Alameda County who have mental health issues that can't wait. It is a safe, respectful environment where people in crisis can receive mental health services 24-hours-a-day, 7-day-a-week. Sausal Creek is a County-funded program, operated by Telecare Corporation under contract with Alameda County.

The Crisis Intervention Specialist - LVN/LPT provides screening, assessment, and assists in linking services needed by clients and their families to overcome the crisis which brought them into the program. Screening includes medical evaluation per the Sausal Creek Outpatient Stabilization Clinic's protocol, administering medications as ordered by the clinic's psychiatrists, and functioning as the delegated Lead Team Member in the absence of the Administrator, Team Leader, or Registered Nurse.

One (1) year experience in mental health services required; one (1) year experience in acute or community based programs preferred. Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician program and current licensure by the State of California are also required. A valid CPR Certificate and First Aid is also required. Necessary skills include the ability to work with members with multiple disabilities. Must have valid California driver's license, a vehicle (approved for safety), proof of insurance, DMV clearance, and must have knowledge and ability to use public transportation. Applicant must be finger printed, sign under penalty of perjury that there has been no conviction of any crime, other than minor traffic offenses, and receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
