The "Other" Health Care -- State Of Mental Health Care in California
Nursing World Magazine (Nov-Dec 2007)

Nursing World Magazine invited a group of seven psychiatric nursing specialists in California to come together for a candid, insightful discussion about the “other” health care: what’s happening with treatment, how the patient population is changing, and how these professionals see their specialty evolving in an era when patients are increasingly complex. The seven specialists who participated in this interview are all active members and leaders of APNA California Chapter:  Rita Haverkamp, Diane Hickman, Kathy Johnson, Kevin McGirr, Marlene Nadler-Moodie, Cheryl Puntil, and Loralie Woods. We bring this article to your attention because it contains excellent and timely information, but also because we want you to know what APNA California Chapter leaders are doing to call public attention to the need for improved mental health care in our state and the nation.
