In San Francisco, CA -- Fri.-Sat., Oct. 29-30, 2010:
~~~~~ Group Psychotherapy Training Program, 12-Hour Core Course ~~~~~
NCGPS (the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society) . . .
. . . is offering its Twelve-Hour Core Course, where you have the opportunity to take one of three steps toward earning your Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) credential from the National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists (NRCGP). This is the only credential which certifies individuals nationally in group psychotherapy.
The NRCGP serves to elevate professional standards and provide recognition for specialists in group psychotherapy. Obtaining a CGP is an important way for group psychotherapists to distinguish themselves from other clinicians. CGPs receive a marketing advantage provided by the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) via an online searchable directory of CGPs at www.agpa.org . This directory is available to the public for referral purposes.
Location:  UCSF Faculty/Alumni House, 745 Parnassus Ave., San Francisco, CA.
For Early Bird discount, your Registration must be postmarked by September 8, 2010.
Scholarships are available for students. (See details in the Course Brochure.)
Two ways to register:
